Course Objective:

The Web Design course in Singapore entitled the All-in-One Web Design Course is the most comprehensive which covers Web Design course using all the tools needed to create/maintain website design.

This Web Design course in Singapore consists of 2 Modules and teaches participants :

  • Adobe DreamweaverCS6 - Web design layout and templates for web sites
  • Adobe Photoshop CS6 - edit products images, sliding images and create catchy and stunning images
  • Undertstanding CSS standards and applying them in-style in Web Design sites.
  • Register a domain name and choose suitable Web Hosting services
  • FTP Setup - how to upload and download files to web server

Prerequisite:

No prerequisite is required.

Certificate Of Attendance will be awarded to participants completing the course achieving minimum 75% attendance.

Full-time: 4 Weekdays / 4 Sats    Time : 9.30am to 5.30pm

    Module 1 : Adobe Dreamweaver CS6 Course Outline (2 Days / 4 Sessions) :

    • Topic 1 : Understanding Project Requirements
      - Identify the purpose, audience, and audience needs for a website
      - Identify web page content that is relevant to the website purpose and appropriate for the target audience
      - Demonstrate knowledge of standard copyright rules (related terms, obtaining permission, and citing copyrighted material)
      - Demonstrate knowledge of website accessibility standards that address the needs of people with visual and motoripairents
      - Make website development decisions based on your analysis and interpretation of design specifications
      - Understand project management tasks and responsibilities
    • Topic 2 : Planning Site Design and Page Layout
      - Demonstrate general and Dreamweaver-specific knowledge of best practices for designing a website, such as maintaining consistency, separating content from design, using standard fonts and utilizing visual hierarchy
      - Produce website designs that work equally well on various operating systems, browser versions / configurations, and devices
      - Demonstrate knowledge of page layout design concepts and principles
      - Identify basic principles of website usability, readability, and accessibility
      - Demonstrate knowledge of flowcharts, storyboards, and wireframes to create web pages and a site map (site index) that maintain the planned website hierarchy
      - Communicate with others (such as peers and clients) about design plans
    • Topic 3 : Understanding the Adobe Dreamweaver CS6 Interface
      - Identify elements of the Dreamweaver interface
      - Use the Insert bar
      - Use the Property inspector
      - Use the Assets panel
      - Use the Files panel
      - Customize the workspace
    • Topic 4 : Adding Content by Using Dreamweaver CS6
      - Demonstrate knowledge of Hypertext Markup Language
      - Define a Dreamweaver site
      - Create, title, name, and save a web page
      - Add text to a web page
      - Insert images and apply alternative text on a web page
      - Link web content, using hyperlinks, e-mail links, and named anchors
      - Include video and sound in a web page
      - Insert animation and interactivity to content
      - Insert navigation bars, rollover images, and buttons created in a drawing program on a web page
      - Build image maps
      - Import tabular data to a web page
      - Import and display a Microsoft Word or Microsoft Excel document to a web page.
      - Create forms
    • Topic 5 : Organizing Content by Using Dreamweaver CS6
      - Set and modify document properties
      -Organize web page layout with relative and absolutely-positioned div tags and CSS styles
      - Modify text and text properties
      - Modify images and image properties
      - Create web page templates
      - Use basic HTML tags to set up an HTML document, format text, add links, create tables, and build ordered and unordered lists.
      - Add head content to make a web page visible to search engines.
      - Use CSS to implement a reusable design
    • Topic 6 : Evaluating and Maintaining a Site by Using Dreamweaver CS6
      - Conduct technical tests
      - Identify techniques for basic usability tests.

    Module 2 : Adobe Photoshop CS6 Course Outline (2 Days / 4 Sessions) :

      - Demonstrate knowledge of project management tasks and responsibilities
      - Communicate with others (such as peers and clients) about design plans
    • Topic 2 : Identifying Design Elements When Preparing Images
      -Demonstrate knowledge of image resolution, image size, and image file format for web, video, and print
      - Demonstrate knowledge of design principles, elements, and image composition
      - Demonstrate knowledge of typography
      - Demonstrate knowledge of color correction using Photoshop CS6
      - Demonstrate knowledge of image-generating devices, their resulting image types, and how to access resulting images in Photoshop
      - Understand key terminology of digital images
    • Topic 3 : Understanding Adobe Photoshop CS6
      - Identify elements of the Photoshop CS6 user interface and demonstrate knowledge of their functions
      - Demonstrate knowledge of layers and masks
      - Demonstrate knowledge of importing, exporting, organizing, and saving
      - Demonstrate knowledge of producing and reusing images
      - Demonstrate an understanding of and select the appropriate features and options required to implement a color management workflow
    • Topic 4 : Manipulating Images by using Adobe Photoshop CS6

    • Topic 5 : Publishing Digital Images using Adobe Photoshop CS6
      - Demonstrate knowledge of preparing images for web, print, and video
